How to Wire and Build an Armstrong Turntable (DCC Only)
1/4" Phone plugs make excellent pivots for turntables they have very little play and are built to last. The Dual Frog Juicer acts as an auto-reverser changing the polarity automatically after turning the engine. An "Armstrong" turntable is one that is moved by human power.
Thi simple turntable is not motorized - just push it with your finger. The phone plug keeps it steady and has just the right amount of resistance to turniong to keep the table in position.
A 1/4" phone jack and plug are used as the turntable pivot and to supply power to the rails.
